I have been trying to understand how Coded UI works to identify on-screen objects. You would think that the MSDN would be the first and last word on the subject, but when I come here and enter "coded ui search properties" in the search bar, the vast majority of links reported lead to unsupported pages, pages with the content removed, or 404 errors. What a (bad) joke! Given a choice, I would use one of the many far superior tools (Hell! QTP is better! I never thought I would say that!) for test automation, but this is the route that my employer has taken and I have to live with it. It would help if Microsoft would actually support this piece of crap that they've conned so many people into using.
