So, I'm new using Project here at work and as a method to organize my projects and their advance I was planning on putting all in a Project file, assign the resource and sync their tasks with this file. I have never done this but I remember reading about it.

There is no default functionality in Microsoft Project desktop software that allows you to synchronize tasks with Outlook.  You would need to use Project Server 2010 or 2013, as that functionality is built into the enterprise tool.  Is your organization using Project Server?  If so, your Project Server administration would need to set up the functionality to allow synchronizing project tasks with Outlook.

To retrieve resources from Outlook, open a project and then apply the Resource Sheet view.  Click the Resource tab to display the Resource ribbon.  In the Insert section of the Resource ribbon, click the Add Resources pick list button and select the Address Book item on the menu.  Select the resources in the Select Resources dialog and then click the OK button.
