We have a Windows Store App that responds to search activation so that when you type in something from the Start screen you can choose our app and it will launch with that search term. This doesn't seem to be available in the Windows 8.1 preview. How can I launch our application from a search when it's not already running?

At the end of June I gave a talk at //Build/ where I outlined some of the ways in which apps will be able to integrate into the Everywhere scope and I'd encourage you to take a look if you haven't seen it already. While the app integration features are not active in the Windows 8.1 Preview, you can expect them to light up over time.
