I have an HP Elitebook 2740p which has a touchscreen, 4 gb ram, i5 processor, Intel QM57 Express chipset, 1280x800 screen .  The touchscreen says it is multi-touch screen gestures, but I can only get it to work with the pen it comes with and with a mouse.  It is using a Wacom driver.  It will not accept my fingers on Windows 8.

I feel totally lost in Windows 8, extremely difficult to use and unintuitive without touch.  I would like to get to the point that Windows 8 works well enough that I can start developing applications.  I know what it is supposed to be like since I watched your webcasts.  Will my HP Elitebook 2740p work with the Windows 8 touch or not?  If so, how do I get it to work with touch?

What is the original operating system that been installed in your laptop? Does it works with touch screen?

It might be issue that you have to install some software to be able to do that if touch scren is supported.

To check it, go to Computer and then click on system propertise and in there see if it said multi-touch is supported or not.
