I've got a couple of questions regarding HCK and WDM.

(1) A long while ago I've read in a forum post that states that WDF (Windows Driver Framework) is the framework one must use for a driver to pass the HCK tests for Windows 8 (and 8.1). How true is this?

Our WDM (usb) driver wasn't able to pass the HCK certification for Windows 8 (and 8.1) so far. We're starting to think that it may have something to do with the framework used. (Yeah, it passed Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 tests completely.)
