When I open a blank template I get UK date format which I want. But when I open any other template the date format changes to US English ?  Any ideas ?

Hi,

What do you mean about the date format? How did you insert the date in Visio, insert a Text box and type a date? What's your Windows date format configured in Control Panel > Region?

Maybe you can do the following setting in Visio to set the data format:

1. Select the shape.
2. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Field; in the dialog that opens, Date/Time should be selected on the left and Creation Date/Time on the right.
3. In the lower right corner of the Field dialog, click the Data Format button; in the dialog that opens, Date/Time will be selected on the left.
4. In the Data Format dialog, either click the Format drop-down on the right to select a different format or type a custom format picture in the Custom Format box.
5. Click OK twice.
