I have make fresh installation of Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit machine). Then i install Windows SharePoint Server 3.0, as provided by Microsoft site (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/962216).

I have check in Control Panel --> Administration Tool, SharePoint Central Administration & SharePoint Products & Technologies Configuration, exist.

I can also run SharePoint Home Page via Internet Explorer.

But, when I am trying to install Business Portal, there is message that "Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 must be installed".

Hi Irfan, I think Windows 2008 R2 support only MOSS 2007 with SP2, you need to install MOSS 2007 with SP2, not MOSS 2007 then apply SP2, kindly refer to this article and note that it's on WSS not MOSS. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/962216 Regards, Ayman Barghouti
