I installed WEC7 and followed instructions on how to create a stand-alone virtual machine, running under Microsoft Virtual PC on a Windows 7 box.  Seemed to go okay but when I boot, it goes to a page that says Settings and "Set up device".  There are links to options that configure date, bluetooth,regional settings and a couple other things.  This seems to work but I can't get past this screen.

It looks like you have selected the Silverlight sample shell when you designed the OS. If you select the explorer shell you'll get the familiar desktop environment
