I Lost 3 hours of Visio work today as the default setting for auto recovery is off! Gah! Since, it has been crashing more and more frequently.. now down to every few minutes.. its a nightmare!! I had this before and went through a 5 hour call with Microsoft in uninstalling and re-installing.. but still the issue persists.. I have changed from 32 bit to 64 bit.. works for a while (a few days) then starts crashing again (increasing in frequency).. Either terrible programming and/or exception handling... or MS security features not working properly.. who knows... but for all the money spent this is awful customer service and support! MS please Fix it.. happy to provide loads of crash logs if you like!

I have two Office 365 accounts one is for Office365 professional for home use, another is a business account for VISIO 2016 (O365) because the home account wouldn't let me purchase Visio?!!

In Visio 2016, please go to File > Options > under the Advanced tab, in the Display section, check the "Disable hardware acceleration" option.
