We are using Kinect studio v2.0. Skeleton tracking works fine during the recording. However, when we play back the recording, the skeleton tracking does not show on the screen. Kinect Body tracking is generative based on the Depth/IR data from the recording. You must be in connected mode and depending on the amount of frames and where you start the playback it will require a undetermined amount of frame to re-acquire the lock-on for body tracking.
