for my new project I have to use multiple Kinects to expand the field of view and to work with more than two skeletons at the same time. I wonder if there are existing frameworks or projects for that purpose where I can learn from.

Each Kinect will put up more processing power because it draws this power from the usb port. The exact amount might be in the help documentation or a previous post in the general discussion thread somewhere.

As far as using more then 4 people with a Kinect I am currently in the process of developing a program that I am testing with my Xbox Kinect that will solve this problem. I still am working a few minor bugs out. However, most of the time it will switch between players 1-6 on one Kinect with little problems (working bugs out for better coordinate retrieval of a specific player. This maybe a power issue or just that I do not have the resolution required from the Kinect to do so).
