Hi All,

This is lovely....

I received an email from Symantec that someone tried to add a Microsoft Developer Services Account. Actually, it was notification that someone did (and it was not me). I'm not sure where the request originated, so I'm assuming my developer account is pwn'd.

How do I contact Microsoft and have my developer account reset, get a new password, and have the private keys revoked? All I can seem to find are these lovely, self-help forums.

As a bonus (but probably unlikely), how do I determine if its my hotmail account that has been compromised, or my developer account?

I'm quite pissed about the private keys since I did not generate them and they we never under my control; yet I could be held legally liable. If Microsoft is going to take control on keys on my behalf, they should indemnify me.

For some reason, I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth from the account fees I am charged. Even Apple gives you two free support incidents with their developer accounts.
