Hi all,

We are on 2010 SP1 using Timesheets in Single Entry Mode.

We have a project that is corrupted in the Draft Database and we needed to restore that project from about a week ago.  My question is, if we restore the project from an Administrative Backup to the Draft Database, then do we also need to restore the same project to the Published database?  If not, then what happens to all the Task Updates that have been submitted and accepted since the backup?  We have already restored the Draft project schedule and the Task Updates are not there.  Resubmitting the timesheet doesn't help -- even though in the Timesheet history they appear to have already been accepted.  Do we need to restore the Published from Administrative backup as well so that the projects stay 'in sync' between the Draft and Published databases or is there something else we are missing?

Jim,

Administrative backup of Project Plan is a copy of Published version of the project plan. When restored from Archive project plan is into draft copy, saving and publishing the same sync data between published and reporting database.

So you don't have option to restore published version of the project plan. Administrative backup will always restore the project plan in draft.

In your scenario, task updates are not present after restoring since backup was taken prior  that. To fix the issue, user has to recall, delete, re-create the timesheet before re-submitting the update
