Hello All，

最近我将migrat sharepoint 2007启动到sharepoint 2013，我在新服务器中安装了SP2013，配置并创建了新的Web应用程序，然后今天成功挂载wss_Content db

Hello All,

recently i start migrat sharepoint 2007 to sharepoint 2013, i installed SP2013 in new server, configured and created new Web Application then today mount wss_Content db successfully

Then i visit central administrator there it shows my recently mounted wss_Content db but, site collection as zero. I knew that there were 5 sites in the content DB so, i start troublehshoot and i found that i need to migrate Sharepoint_Config db also so, i renamed newly created Sharepoint_Config into Sharepoint_Config_NEW and restored Sharepoint_Config db from SP2007 server but, henceforth i'cant run any site and central admin too.

so, experts please suggest me how to migrate Sharepoint_Config db from Sp 2007 to SP 2013?

Hi Jey.

First of al you have to know that there is only one way to migrate a SharePoint 2007 farm to a 2013 one: you have to migrate from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010 and then to SharePoint 2013; the alternative is building a brand new SharePoint 2013 farm and try to migrate each component of the old SharePoint 2007 farm on a one by one basis.
The SharePoint_Config db should not be migrated from the old farm to the new one: that is the SharePoint configuration database (which represents the farm itself) and it is built as soon as the first SharePoint server is installed and configured.
