我下载并安装了BlendV2SP1_en.exe。

WinXP SP3(最新版)
Expression Web 2
Visual Studio 2008 Standard SP1
Visual Web Developer 2008 SP1(Express)
Visual Basic 2008 SP1(Express)
Silverlight v2.0.31005.0
.Net Framwork 3.5 SP1

-Preston

I downloaded and Installed BlendV2SP1_en.exe. It installed succesfully. After a reboot, and upon opening Expression Blend2, I received the following message. "The Preview has Expired. Install an Updated version. The only option was to click 'oK". After doing so, Expresssion Blend closed. Note that in the title bar it said "Expression Blend Preview".

The original installation was from DVD and installed successfully. There was no indication of "Preview"

WinXP SP3 (Up to date)
Expression Web 2
Visual Studio 2008 Standard SP1
Visual Web Developer 2008 SP1 (Express)
Visual Basic 2008 SP1 (Express)
Silverlight v2.0.31005.0
.Net Framwork 3.5 SP1

I then uninstalled Expression Blend2 SP1 using Add/Remove Programs. It was successful, and Expression Blend now opens normally.

I am curious if anyone has seen this issue, and if you did, what did you do to fix it?

I would really like to install the service pack so that I can take advantage of Silverlight2.

Thanks for any help or insight,

-Preston

ps: I did bug this at Connect, and so far there have been no comments.

1.) Expression Studio 2 -
2.) Windows Vista Ultimate SP1
< br>

< br> a。 Blend 2 SP1

结果:

I have the exact same problem but, a few minor differences in my case as indicated below:

    1.) Expression Studio 2 - Upgrade Version
    2.) Windows Vista Ultimate SP1

I believe that Preston B actually meant that the notification dialog prompt stated verbatim: "The prereleased version of this product has expired. You must update to a newer release."; the application's title bar does state: "Microsoft Expression Blend 2 Service Pack 1 Preview".

Upon receiving my error report, summating that Blend 2 was crashing, I opted to let Vista try an investigation into the problem and find any possible solutions. A dialog prompt notified me that Microsoft has published a newer version of Blend and that I should get that one as it corrects numerous bugs, primarily the one that had allegedly crashed my application in question at that time.

I checked the Blend 2 download page and that version, 2.0.1523.0, is identical to the one I had installed from DVD earlier that day. With this in mind I proceeded to download only the service pack and went through the installation procedure successfully only to run into the "the prerelease version has expired" dialog when I attempted to reopen Blend 2. I could not even enter in the serial number for product activation due to the fact that the application was locked out by the modal dialog.

The other tools that were installed along side of Blend 2 are still activated. They're fully operational, as best as I can tell at the moment, as I went through opening all the others looking for a similar indication.

What's up with the "prerelease version" thing anyway? Now that's throwing me some crossed signals. This issue is obviously not platform specific, duh! Strangely, in contrast to Preston B's methodology of going to XP's software manager my Vista's software manager only recognizes SP1 for Expression Media 2 therefore, I am going to try the following measures outlined below. Hopefully people will find their solution here regardless of platform with a consolidated reference.

The following measures are going to be executed:

1.) I am going to use the media DVD to perform an installation repair function on Blend 2.

2.) If step 1 fails, then...

         a. - uninstall Blend 2 SP1

Results:

1.) The DVD media based: Blend 2 "Repair Installation" transaction failed.
2.) New install of Expression Blend 2 over top of the previous install with SP1 failed.
2.) The updates manager* uninstallation of the SP1 succeeded.

Note:

Upon review of the accompanying license agreement that came packaged with SP1 it is stated that the Service Package is a preview itself. This leads me to think that the mention of the Preview statement in Blend 2's modal dialog notification prompt, as mentioned above, and Title-bar are actually referencing the state of the service package as a preview and is not indicative to the regression of Blend 2: stepping back into a preview trial.

* Updates Manager:

Open the Control Panel management group window by performing the following actions:

Goto and open the 'Start Menu' > Goto and click/hover over 'All Programs' > Goto and open the folder 'Accessories' > Scroll down to and open the folder 'Sytem Tools' > Scroll down to and click the 'Control Panel' menu option link.

From within the "Control Panel" window do the following:

Scroll down to the 'Programs' options group in the main window client area, then click the 'Uninstall a program' link.

Viewing the now open "Programs and Features" dialog look at the top left corner of the window noticing a collection of additional links grouped under the title "Tasks". Navigate to and click the first link in the group 'View installed updates.' Be patient and let the list of installed updates populate; this may take some time depending on how many updates you have installed across your entire system including software updates. After the list completes the population procedure scroll down until you locate the Expression Blend 2 SP1 installation entry; click it once to select it and navigate back up to the gray tool bar above the list and click the 'Uninstall' option link.

Proceed with the uninstallation normally and upon completion of the procedure wait a moment for your installed updates list to repopulate and make sure that the SP1 update is not present. Exit all the way out of the control panel and start up your copy of Expression Blend 2 and you will notice that Blend will start normally just as it did for Preston B on Windows XP.

Conclusion:

Service Pack 1 for Expression Blend 2 is a public preview release and not a mainstream release candidate yet from what I have ascertained. At this point in time the fact that the Service Pack causes a lockout with Blend 2 stipulates that the community can not effectively evaluate the package as it stands. Blend 2 users, like myself and Preston B, will have to wait for a more accessible, updated Blend 2 SP1 preview or just bide until the final release of the update package.
