I have a similar problem. Even before the sign-in page of window live messanger comes out, a box pops up and display "Window live messenger has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience caused". Then the box that gives you option to send an error report pops up, when I clicked 'send error report', it doesn't work too, i.e the error sending process wasn't completed and the entire message box just disappeared. I have uninstalled and installed the latest version of window live messenger a few times, the same problem still occurs. I have a windows xp. Please help.
