Apologies if this is not the right forum. But haven't got any idea where to post this question.

I want to build a small windows application, in VS, which i want to sell to the small businesses later.

Which Visual Studio version do i have to buy? Or which VS give you the right to sell or distribute your product if its developed in it?

Any comment or reference to the VS license, answering this question, would be great.

Welcome to MSDN forum.

If you are an individual working on your own applications to sell or for any other purpose, you can use visual studio community to develop and test these application. visual studio community is free to use, you can download it from here: https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/.

If you are an organization, and you are also not an enterprise(defined in the link), then up to 5 of your individual users can use visual studio community, the others need to buy visual studio professional or visual studio enterprise.
