Our product qualifies Visual Studio 2015 RTM Professional Edition+Update3 with .Netframework 4.6.1

Our product is integrated with visual studio. Once we open the visual studio, we create a project by selecting File->New->Project, under templates, we select our product name and create a New Application.

In this window, we see .Net framework dropdown, which lists all the .Net framework versions from .Netframework 2.0 to .Netframework 4.6.1

My Question :

When we open to create an application, by default, the .Netframework displays the version 4.5.2. As we have qualified .Netframework 4.6.1, can we ask our developers to display .Netframework 4.6.2 as default value? or this should be done from Microsoft? please clarify.

I believe the developer must know what version to use and select it from the list. There may be a setting in VS that allows a default framework version to be set. I have never seen it.
