Hi All,

I am facing an issue while connecting Custom Web service in SharePoint 2013 designer. Below are the steps:-
1. Developed a custom Web service and deployed it to the SharePoint On-Premise environment under a web application. 
2. Kerberos authentication is configured in the Web Application however the service doesn't have any authentication.  
3. I am able to access web service over the internet, as it is configured in a public facing site.
4. I am trying to create an "External Content type" in SharePoint Online to fetch the data from SharePoint On-Premise environment with the help of the custom web service. 

Getting below error:-

"Cannot create proxy assembly"
'Error loading URL "https:/dummyURL/Service.svc?wsdl"  This normally happens when URL does not point to a valid discovery document, service description, or XSD schema. 

It was working fine when we had NTLM authentication mode however after changing to Kerberos mode, start getting this error. 

Please help!

Hi,

Based on official guideline below.

• Kerberos authentication requires client computer connectivity to a KDC and to an AD DS domain controller. In a Windows and SharePoint deployment, the KDC is an AD DS domain controller. While this is a common network configuration on an organization intranet, Internet-facing deployments are typically not configured in this manner.

So I would suggest you extend your web application, for internet zone, use NTLM authentication.
