Have a Record Centre (SharePoint 2010), created a custom site Content Type with custom site columns.  Content type does not use InfoPath and ticked ' Information Panel on document open and initial save for this content
type'

Document library uses custom Site Content type.

Create New document (using custom Content Type)

Open Document

Document Information Panel will not load custom content type site column (fields), only loads 'Document Properties - Server'

When save document, Custom Content type fields load

Why do the customer content fields not load initially as normal?  HELP.

Hi,

When we click new document form SharePoint library, it would open a new document as an unsafe file. After saving the file, the file becomes a safe file and then the information panel appears. Uncheck "Enable Protected View for files located in potentially unsafe locations" option for Word client application and try again.

File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Protected View Tab > Uncheck "Enable Protected View for files located in potentially unsafe locations".
