There are no special steps to take: you simply have to install the Service Pack 2 on the SQL Server machines; for safety reasons, I'd recommend you to take a full backup of all the SharePoint databases before starting the patching operation and to either stop the SharePoint services or to shut down the SharePoint servers to avoid any existing connection to the underlying database to be kept open.
If you have more than one SQL Server node, you have to patch each node on a one by one basis and wait for the patched node to be up and running again before moving to the next one; if you have more SQL Server nodes in a failover cluster configuration, start patching the passive node first, then failover the active node to the passive one and patch the other node.
