We have an Office Web Apps installation and a SharePoint 2013 On-Premise installation. Sites are configured so that Office documents open directly in the browser. This is working fine with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. However, this is not working in Google Chrome. When trying to open with Google Chrome we get an error that:

"xxxx might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address."

Note: This used to work correctly earlier till v56 version of Chrome. The problem is with the latest versions of Chrome.

I would like to think that this is not ultimately a Chrome problem because O365 documents are opening with the same method. Why is the problem only with On-Premise versions?
