My Question is we have all the data in Azure VM where we have installed the SQL Server and loaded the Data into the server. Now, I would like to pump the data into cube which is in Azure Analysis services(PAAS) from Azure VM so Is this a cloud to cloud data pump or it still going to consume our company Bandwidth ? I assume it's going to consume our bandwidth because the Azure VM is in the company network and also my understanding while installing on-prem data gateway in azure vm for Power BI is the azure vm will be in our company network that's why we were able to pump data from on-prem to cloud using the installed gateway.
2.Now we have the data in Data Lake, I would like to pump the data in to sql server which was installed in Azure VM. Will this going to be a Cloud to cloud data pump or it's going to consume company network Bandwidth ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Assuming you keep the resources in the same Azure region then it would be considered cloud-to-cloud transfer.
If you are moving data from one data center to another then it would incur the transfer rates
