We have servers running Windows 2008 r2 SP1 in offline mode (no internet connection).

We want to install sharepoint 2013 foundation to try out Microsoft office's co authoring feature.

We have downloaded all prerequisite files.

However, the sharepoint setup failed to configure the application server role, IIS role.

On internet i saw many discussions about this issue for windows 2012 or higher, but not windows 2008 r2 sp1. People said something about disabling antivirus during install, or going to group policy system setting for a setting "Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair".

However, these do not exist for windows 2008 r2.

Do you have any clues how we can install sharepoint 2013? Thank you

The issue occurs because some prerequisites have not been downloaded and installed.

In scenarios where installing prerequisites directly from the Internet is not possible you can download the prerequisites and then install them from a network share.
