I am managing a recurring project through the task list functionality of SharePoint online. 

Every time I start a new project, I want all of the project steps to automatically populate in a new task list, with the first step having a due date in three days, then the next steps having due dates a specific number of days after each other.

I think this capability should be available through a custom workflow in SharePoint Designer, but I'm not sure how to proceed.

I would greatly appreciate any advice.

We can create "Recurrence" choice column with values such as "Daily", "Weekly", "Monthly", "Yearly". Create a SharePoint workflow and check the value of "Recurrence". If the "Recurrence" is "Daily", add one day to the Due Date, and then create a new task.
