Hi there,
In last December we had installed a Azure AD connect on server and synced our Active Directory to Azure AD. When there was a malware attack, we lost Azure AD connect installer server, so no more synchronization is happening. We have some Virtual machines are created to that Azure account, we would like to us the same Azure account to sync our AD again.
I don't find any supportive document in my scenario how to proceed on AD sync. I would like to know whether I can install new Azure AD Connect and sync our Active Directory again? Is this method work? will we have duplicate created? or any password sync from Azure AD to Active Directory? because there are about 1000+ user objects there in there in our Active Directory. Please give me best way to approach this.

In order to use the same you would need to use the global administrator credentials of the account you had used earlier and You can install the Azure AD connect server in staging mode and check the Azure AD connector space to find if there are any Deletes which are being sent before taking the server in normal sync mode.
Please check the article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/how-to-connect-sync-staging-server#prepare . Make sure you enable staging mode while installation of the AD connect . Because this is a setting where no export to azure AD will be done but it will simulate a scenario where you can understand how would the synced object look on azure side. you can use the Synchronization manager to check it .
