I was trying to familiarize myself with MEncoder, when I accidentally clicked the x on them. Now only the top tab is shown and everything else is black/ grey. I am working on a video project and need this fixed ASAP! Please help!

The little "x" just close each respective panes. You can enabled them back again in the "Windows" menu. In the same menu, you can reset the application as it was via the "Reset Active Workspace" (or via Ctrl-Shift-R).
