I am using EW 2 at home and 2 and 3 at work. I find myself using design view to generally add divs, text, images ect. Everyone has preferences and mine are for a WYSIWYG view for working in general and previewing from time to time. One thing that I am finding very irritating is how the design view seems to re-position things randomly. For example Div's moving outside containers or tables moving out of location ect. These dislocations seem to mostly happen horizontally but I have noticed both. Now when this happens and I do a preview everything works as expected and the positioning flakeyness does not effect the actual working page- only the design view. In addition- when this happens I can fix it by locating the curser near (not on) the element and do a delete as if I was deleting a single character, and then the design view corrects itself. I have noticed this on EW on multiple installations so I think its an EW thing in the way it renders in design view. The only basis by which I have to compare it to would be Frontpage 03 which has none of these issues and seems to be a better WYSIWYG display.

I have tried to determine the cause for this but it seems random and not related to any specific activity but rather just renders strangely from time to time. The tendency is to want to try and correct it by taking some action since one might assume its a problem with the page but as I said when previewing the pages are fine.

Is this just a bug in the EW design view or is it just not a good WYSIWYG tool but rather now just and aproximation only? Am I missing something? I never had this issue with FP.
