问题描述

I am in the process of removing bot and FPSE related features of our FP03 based site, adopting DWT's and CSS, and cleaning up site with a plan to upgrade to EW in the future. I was reading that EW3 is to be released this summer. Can anyone tell me what changes version 3 will have? Our host ( Verio) still supports the FP extensions and has not made any statements about them so I may have some time. Our budget is tight and I will get one shot to upgrade at least for the next few years so should I wait a few months? Any ideas when it will release? 

I read version 3 will have a browser checking tool. 

Also another question, Are you permited to have EW installed on a desktop and a laptop as some vendors permit or will I have to buy 2 copies if I want to work on site remotly or as backup?

As far as converting.  The tool has nothing to do with it.  You will most likely need to learn a new technology, like PHP or ASP.NET, to replace the FPSE functionality.  Don't wait.  Find out which technology works best for you and start learning it now.

2) You can install EW on as many computers you like as long as you are the only user.
