My company has two instances of SharePoint; SharePoint Online that comes with our Office 365 subscription and SharePoint on-premise that I manage.

Right now the Backstage of Office 2013 applications show the Office 365 Team Site and user's My Site (a.k.a. SkyDrive Pro) along with the on-premise user's My Site (a.k.a. SkyDrive Pro, http://my/). The Backstage does not show our on-premise SharePoint team sites (http:/sharepoint/). We need to control what instances of SharePoint our users see across all Office applications. For example, we want users to make use of our on-premise My Sites (a.k.a. SkyDrive pro) and not those provided by Office 365.

The question is how do we manage the SharePoint locations that appear in the Backstage of Office 2013 applications? This includes showing, hiding, grouping, and naming. We are not looking to customize the backstage, simply to control what instances of SharePoint are shown to our users and what they and the groups are called.

Examples of Issues:

Office 2013 shows our Office 365 SharePoint Online sites, Team Site and the user's My Site, grouped under our company name. It also shows a group "SharePoint" that has the user's My Site labeled "SkyDrive Pro". Complicating matters is if the user has their own SkyDrive as that appears as a group.

Below are screen captures of each of the two SharePoint groups; Office 365 and on-premise. For each one I have opened the Browse window. Access, Excel, and PowerPoint have the same display of SharePoint locations.

In Access 2013 when creating a new Web Asset Tracking database application the Backstage wizard only shows the Office 365 SharePoint Online instances; the default Team Site and user's My Site. It does not show our on-premise SharePoint sites- Team Sites or user's My Site. See the screen capture below.
