Depending on what SharePoint versions you have deployed (not all were made to support this) they required the "CN=System,CN=Microsoft SharePoint Products" service connection point to be created in AD.  You can find the details of the particular farm in the serviceBindingInformation attribute of the SP Farm objects contained there.
