I have 3 calendars (Event Type 1, Event Type 2, Event Type 3) that I use as overlays on a fourth calendar named All. Each of the Event calendars all have States listed as a category eg. NSW, SA, TAS, VIC, WA. The basic overlay allows me to view All events or by the Event Type regardless of which state, but how do I create a view specific for each of the states. So if I clicked NSW it should show me all of the events for NSW only.

You can create a view specific for each state of each calendar, then when using overlay on the fourth calendar, select the specific view instead of the Default Calendar view.
