I get the following error when trying to use the visual workflow option.

I can confirm that I have sharepoint Designer 2013 with SP1 installed and Visio Professional 2013 on the same machine.  I trawled through the MS sites, but can't see anything amiss.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to rectify this please?

Hi Dandelion- there could be a lot of reasons for this, but my guess is you don't have matching bit rates. Make sure both designer and visio versions have the same bit rate. Also, make sure both have the latest updates and that designer is installed correctly (try re-installing it).

If that doesn't work, clear your local SharePoint cache. Run designer diagnostics and repair office.
