Hi there,

I am running SPD 2013 and recently noticed that the Page layout and Data Source features are disabled.   I have been working with the our server folks to see if anything was disabled on their end....They do not have a clue.   When I use SPD 2013 on another server all the features are active.....

What direction can I point the server folks and the SharePoint Admin in so they can resolve this issue?  Again they seem to not have a clue.....

Any assistance would be great!

Hi csm,

Please check the permissions for the user to see if he has proper permissions on the Master Page Gallery list and fpdatasources.

1. Check if the user has permissions on the Master Page Gallery list.

Open site settings page > Web Designer Galleries > Master pages and page layouts > List settings > Permissions for this document library > Check the permissions.

2. Check if the user has permissions on the fpdatasources.

Open the site using SharePoint Designer, and open All Files from the left navigation. Navigate to _catalogs/fpdatasources, check the permissions for this list.
