I have a simple SharePoint 2010 workflow that sends an email notification once a list item is created.  However I only need the workflow to fire once.  The list has versioning turned on and is utilizing an InfoPath form with multiple views.  My issue is users are receiving multiple repeated emails.  Is this due to having the versioning turned on?  What are we missing in the logic?

Please check the start options in workflow settings. If the option, start workflow automatically when an item is changed is checked, uncheck it, publish and try.
