Hey Kinect-Users!

I´m searching for the reason my kinect runs only at 30-50 fps for a second, then only at about 5-15 for a few seconds. This recurs all the time. Seems the kinect lags.

Is the sensor restarting? Look at your device manager and see if the sensor disappears frequently. If so, see the troubleshooting thread for ways to prevent that. Additionally, is there other processing you are doing on the GPU. That GPU may be overloaded which may cause slowdown in processing frames. Upgrading the GPU may correct this, but on a laptop that may not be an option. Also be sure you boot on battery power to ensure you are not in a CPU throttling/power conservation state.
