Hello, I am a designer who is working with a developer on a collaborative project using the Kinect V2. So far we have been unable to get my computer to recognize the Kinect using VMware. Do I need to use bootcamp instead? I have also heard that I can run windows from an external drive.

It's been a while since I tried this but from what I remember VM doesn't support DirectX 11 while Kinect v2 requires it. What version of DX are you running on your VM?
