How can I insert a workflow of a choice list?

i.e I have 2 choices (aprove or not aprove). When I choose not aprove I want to automaticaly send an email to the person that creates the row.

Do you have SharePoint Designer?  You can create a list workflow with a condition to check your choice field and send an email based on the value.
