I have created an application in SharePoint 2010 using site pages and added content editor web parts to that pages,<o:p></o:p>

My functionality and UI is working properly in Google chrome.<o:p></o:p>

But since SP 2010 IE mode is 8 by default my UI is not proper and Custom js functionalities are not working.<o:p></o:p>

If I change to IE 11 in master page, UI and other custom functionalities are working fine but SharePoint list form submission is failing with unexpected error.<o:p></o:p>

So now am planning to apply IE 11 mode only to  my site pages but there also if I add this tag   <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=11"/> below placeholdermain or placeholderhead it is not accepting and changing the UI.<o:p></o:p>

Please reply with some solution to fix this.<o:p></o:p>

Hi Sudheer,

It is a compatibility issue. The script in your page is not supported in IE8.

Please try to add a site to the Compatibility View list of IE and see if it works.

By default, SharePoint 2010 works on IE 8 Compatible document mode. The master page have already been loaded before loading the page, the browser has already been rendered in IE8 mode and the changes will not take effect.

To force the specific page to use IE 11, you could create your own page file with HTML and load the page using iframe.
