Hello there,

I have a  requirement of Connecting on-premises database to SharePoint Online which is through BCS. one approach I figured after a lot of research that it can be done with WCF Connection type. 2nd approach is bringing sql to azure sql database which we donot want to do it.

Is there any proper procedures where I can accomplish this task. (Step-step walk through)

Hi,

You can create a custom WCF service to get data from On-Premise database, and make the WCF service can be accessed in public site, then create a external content type using SharePoint designer 2013 for SharePoint online and create an external list to display the data.
