I have been facing an issue on Sharepoint 2010 as well as Online now and even though I have asked different specialist or consulted x forum articles, I do not seem to get it right. Maybe someone out there would be able to help me!? Please note that I am not familiar with codes at all. All I do in Sharepoint is with Infopath.

The fields Brand and Function are dropdownlists retrieving informations from 2 other lists in sharepoint. They are connected via a secondary connection to the infopath form.

Whenever a user opens the form and fill it up, he can select a corresponding value out of the 2 dropdown lists. That is working perfectly.

When the user checks the list A, he sees his selection displayed in the corresponding columns. That is also working perfectly.

Now I have created different other views like Read Only. This view is opening when a project has been saved from the default view (where the values of the dropdown lists have been selected). And that is where I see only the first value of my dropdown list and not what has been selected.

I understand that the system resets the value of my dropdownlists to the first one. So I have added a text field in my first form, that should only display the value from my dropdown lists. Unfortunately, i understand that the system is not FIXING the value selected in the dropdown list. So my text field is useless.

Is there anyone who could help me with that? How to display the selected value of a dropbox in a second view.
