Hi Team,
We are facing an issue for List view threshold in SharePoint Online. Here is the scenario:
1. List is having around 20k items with the list of all suppliers mentioned in it.
2. These supplier details are used in another document library with Lookup column fetching information from Suppliers list.
3. Whenever we try and add new document in this document library we get an error about list view threshold as it exceeds limit of 5k while fetching the supplier details. Now, we are not able to add new item, as supplier details is a mandatory column and we can not remove , as this is required details.
We are tring the approach of using MS access as the base database for these supplier details, but unable to understand how can we connect this MS access database to the lookup column.
Any help, would be really appriciated.

Here are some links which use BCS to connect to database for your reference, after you creating external content type, you could create External Data column and reference your supplier.
