So I've been looking into IIS Live Smooth Streaming, and realized I need some sort of "silverlight" player for it... fortunately the Expression Encoder has a template "builder". However...
We want one "fat" stream internally, and the option to server smaller encodes externally (all live) from the same source. We set up a multiple bit rate encoder and this seems to work, except I can't controll which users get access to which "tracks".
Does one need to be a Silverlight programmer to make such "basic" features work? I had hope to just make two different html pages, one internal with all tracks/bitrates available, and one for external use with just the lower bandwidth tracks/bitrates available. Though I can't seem to figure this out... there's an example player out there that allows the user to do it, but I want to control this myself.
And I'm not sure where to go... Expression forums? IIS forums? Silverlight forums? (I'm afraid I'll be tossed from one to the other :D) ... surely someone must have had this issue previously?
(We're fully okay with having multiple IIS Media servers, but can't have more than one encoder)...
